So, basically this game is epic. I cannot begin to tell you how epic inFAMOUS is (No, sorry, [PROTOTYPE] doesn't come anywhere near as close to as epic ass inFAMOUS). I pre-ordered this game, going "Oh yeah, I read about it in Game Informer...looked good, I have the extra cash...people seem to be talking about it, so let's secure a copy." I fell in love with this thing. So much. I got so drawn into the game that i finished one side (Can choose good/evil in two days, and immediately did the other. The story's epic, the character's are great, the gameplay is fantastic. The only way to possibly feel the lightning-epicness is to play it yourself.
I knew it would always make a great graphic novel - the art shown in the cut scenes is amazing...so, when I found out about the movie, I almost screamed - and then my roommate and I would have had an awkward moment.
Anyway, on occasion I have thought "Hey...what would it be like if they made inFAMOUS into a movie? Who'd play Cole, and Zeke, and Kessler, and especially Sasha, and like...EVERYONE else. Wait...HOW ARE THEY EVEN GOING TO MAKE IT?!?"
Let's see - an enormous portion of the game is Cole down in the sewers working on restoring the power to the city, and another big part of it is killing Reapers, Dust Men, First Sons....And the boss fights? Sasha, Alden...Kessler? How? How is Cole going to be able to get around - as players know, it's a shit load of fun to grind ropes just to watch the lightning spark, and use the train tracks for transportation...and freaking FLY. And I mean, there's no neutral storyline - so they're going to have to choose: Will Cole McGarth be the Hero, or the Villain?
I'm so excited (and I really just can't hide it) - but I'm also slightly worried...Sheldon Turner has written screenplays for what..: The Longest Yard, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and the soon to be X-Men Origins: Magneto and of course, inFAMOUS. I didn't even know who he was until today. He's got Sony backing him up - read somewhere a seven figure film - but I mean, still. InFAMOUS is going to take a lot of work in order to not screw it up. A lot of work.
But, whatever happens....I'LL BE THERE FOR THE MIDNIGHT SHOWING!
